Being
able to access medical information and advice with accurate
diagnosis is critical for a healthy life
Hope Clinic's work in Uganda is regulated through
its annual registration with the Ministry of Health and
the association for medical professionals. We also receive
supportive supervision visits from Kampala City, Makindye
Division and the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau.
Health
Policy in Uganda is developed by Government with consideration
of the technical and financial support from development
partners and the MDGs. The Ministry
publishes these policy documents and holds joint sector
review meetings. Through our reporting of medical services
in the Health Management Information System (HMIS) our
contribution to policy objectives is measured and recorded.
We
are recognised by the Government as a Health Centre III,
able to support deliveries and admissions, managed by
a Clinical Officer and with laboratory, consultation and
dispensing services. That recognition means we are also
accredited as an HIV treatment site, can access free to
client malaria ACTs and receive funds through the Essential
Drugs Grant and a Primary Healthcare Grant. These help
us to reduce the price of many of our laboratory tests
and to keep ante-natal checks and deliveries to an affordable
level.

Working
with and through Hope Clinic Lukuli ensures that government
policy, priorities and guidelines are adhered to. We are
also very experienced with recording information for decision
making and that partners can use to demonstrate that their
support has the desired impact. Please
