The Hope Clinic Lukuli is a non-profit organisation providing the community of Lukuli with medical services since April 2000. In its early days, the clinic which has been saving lives for 8 years in Lukuli (community situated in Kampala, Uganda) was run by one person, the midwife Joyce Bbosa. She used to provide maternity care as well as primary healthcare services. Today, the Clinic has grown significantly and welcomes 600 patients a month for General Practice consultations and provides ante-natal consultations as well as HIV counselling and testing to an additional 400 patients. The community comprising farmers of small holdings of land, sole traders and underprivileged families, turns to the Clinic for medical support
whilst those on higher incomes go to the private government medical establishments. The Hope Clinic Lukuli staff work tirelessly to ensure that patients are never let down. The clinic is supported through organisations which operate in the area.

In recognition of its facilities and services, the clinic was awarded accreditation from the Aids Control Programme, Ministry of Health as a HIV Treatment Center and can now access free HIV testing kits from the Ministry.

The Hope Clinic Management Team does a wonderful job. The Team can be contacted at clinic@hcluganda.org
